Vandaag is het afscheidsfeestje van burgemeester Camera van Bijsterveldt. Vlak voor haar vertrek tovert ze als afscheidscadeautje de halve binnenstad nog even om in één groot massasurveillance gebied, wat moet blijven tot 2029. 😡

Camera's zijn geen oplossing voor maatschappelijke problemen, zie de Poptahof: de "tijdelijk" geplaatste camera's losten niets op, dus moeten ze nog jáááren blijven, vandaar haar bijnaam: Camera van Bijsterveldt. Wij zullen ons uiterste best doen om dit weer te ontmantelen.
We hopen dat haar opvolger, Alexander Pechtold, meer respect heeft voor grondrechten zoals privacy.

In the early years of MCU, when Captain America: First Avenger came out, I didn't particularly like and felt it was one of the weakest phase 1 movies.
Back then, I didn't like how it spent so much time in the pre-Captain America times.
Now, 14 years later it's the one I come back to most often and it has become one of my favourites.
It helps a lot of course that they built the origin story into something as I still think that as a stand alone story it's not the strongest.
