I think the bug I resolved (I wouldn't say fixed) in @novelwriter today is the weirdest I've encountered so far.
The app uses @-based keywords to set meta data in the text. An auto-complete menu pops up to suggest which keyword when you type an @ on a new line.
In the current version (at least) if you have the editor "justified margins" set, type an @, then type backspace, then *and only then* will Qt/PyQt segfault and crash the app.
If I close the menu before forwarding the key press, the bug goes away, so I'm fairly certain the event handling and something related to processing signals in the event queue triggers some corner case where Qt tries to access some reference after it's destroyed.
What is so puzzling is why it only happens on an @ character and only if the text has justified margins! 😅

Battute a parte, presenterò formale protesta per il trattamento indegno di un paese civile, vessatorio e discriminatorio riservato a chi attraversa legalmente il confine dall'Ucraina, tra cui in gran parte donne, bambini, invalidi (tralascio i rari volontari internazionali come me).
