#MothOfTheDay is a bit few & far between currently. Either a poor year for autumnals, they're behind schedule, or just not visiting me. Cloudy, 14C, still air last night so should have been decent.

Solitary PINE CARPET (Pennithera firmata).

Hoping for Black Rustics, Merveille du Jours and Feathered Ranunculus soon!

Since I started analog photography earlier this year I haven't really shared any of the pictures I have taken so far but now I feel like doing so.

These pictures were from a little trip to a former railway freight station that is now a park in Berlin.

Shot on Kodak Tri-X, developed in Rodinal at home, camera was a Hasselblad 501

The image features a large, black and white photograph of a tree, prominently displayed on a metal frame. The tree is depicted from an aerial perspective, with its roots and branches extending across the frame. The background is a textured, grayish surface, possibly a rock or a wall, with subtle variations in shading. The photograph is titled "Eleni Elakta, 2021, Elefsina, Greece," indicating the artist and location. The setting appears to be outdoors, with a view of a landscape that includes trees, buildings, and a body of water in the distance. The overall composition emphasizes the tree's intricate root system and the contrast between the tree and its surroundings.

The image features an outdoor exhibition setup with three large photographs displayed on a metal frame structure. The first photograph on the left shows a rural scene with a small, rustic building, several people, and stacks of bricks on a red soil ground, under a clear blue sky. The middle photograph depicts a child sitting on the ground, with a square opening in the ground revealing a yellowish substance, possibly mud or clay, with a shadow cast on the ground. The third photograph on the right shows a person standing on a red soil surface, with their shadow creating a circular pattern. The background includes trees and a clear sky, suggesting an open, natural environment. The photographs appear to document aspects of daily life and the environment in a rural setting.

The image features a large photograph displayed on a metal frame, set against an outdoor backdrop with trees and a building. The photograph depicts a dry, barren landscape with several tree stumps and branches. The central focus is on a large, conical mound of earth with a small hole at the top, surrounded by smaller mounds and scattered twigs. The photograph is in sepia tones, giving it a historical or artistic appearance. The text at the bottom of the photograph reads "Ayşe Kargı, (İstanbul, 2023) Late Karşıyaka, İzmir, 2023," indicating the artist and location. The overall scene suggests a natural, possibly arid environment, with a focus on the earthy textures and forms.

The image features a black informational panel titled "Landscape in Crisis" by Alkis Konstantinidis. The panel is part of an exhibition showcasing images from the frontlines of climate and humanitarian crises, capturing global reality with sharpness and sensitivity. The text describes the exhibition's focus on natural disasters in Greece, Madagascar, and Australia, highlighting how these events shape human experience and raise questions about resilience, loss, and hope. The panel also credits the photographer, Alkis Konstantinidis, and lists the production team, including photographers, designers, and other contributors. The exhibition was held at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre (SNFCC) from May 9 to October 10, 2023, at the Mediterranean Garden in Stavros Hain Park.
