Leaving the State of Ohio is a challenge for novaTopFlex, because of financial and moral constraints, yet leaving for Massachusetts or Vermont in particular is quite essential for novaTop mental health. A few other opportunities that are essential for our communities and planet but that are considered taboo by capitalism are:
- Embracing the community vibe and egalitarian values of life
- Anti-segregation: Unfortunately, segregation by class is an essential feature of the capitalist system. The concepts of GA, VIP, SVIP, and beyond are all demarcated by the crisis that is capitalism.
- Resisting and/or reversing the “infinite growth” mentality: Capitalism thrives on destruction and the numerous stepping stones toward human extinction. Society is forced to believe that humans are the dominant species when in reality, humans are not the only living beings of the Earth.
- Questioning the concept of “profit:” novaTop openly believes the following statement: “All profit is bad.” Supposedly “neutral” profit does not exist, since all profit necessitates mass exploitation of labor, resulting in no meaningful improvement and only menial conditions being identified.

- Bündnisarbeit mit verschiedensten Organisationen und Zusammenschlüssen, die uns durch gemeinsame Ziele verbunden sind
Dabei wollen wir uns deutlich von Organisationen in der Szene abgrenzen, die eine diffuse Angst vor Technik bei den Bürger*innen schüren und durch diese Empörungsbewirtschaftung Reichweite und finanzielle Mittel generieren.
Für diese Arbeit inspiriert uns die anti-kommerzielle, anti-bürgerliche und generell anarchische Grundhaltung der Punkbewegung in den 70er und 80er Jahren, die Solarpunk-Bewegung sowie folgende Maximen:
- wir wollen Daten so erzeugen und nutzen, dass unser Leben auf der Erde besser wird, ohne dass sie abbrennt
- „Niemand ist frei, bis wir alle frei sind.“ – Martin Luther King
- „Faschismus ist keine Meinung, sondern ein Verbrechen.“ – Vereinigung der Verfolgten des Naziregimes – Bund der Antifaschistinnen und Antifaschisten
- „Datenschutz, Feminismus, Antifaschismus, Arbeitskampf und auch Klimagerechtigkeit gehen Hand in Hand!“ – Kasiandra Richmond
