San Francisco International Airport at 7:05am on New Year’s Day, 2025.
I may have shared an edit of this before but I’m fond of it, as it’s an image of many thresholds: between night and day, the old year and the new, indoors and out (I’m taking the photo from behind the terminal window), at an airport which is itself a liminal place of travel, thresholds and transitions.
