Constructed 1790s to carry water from Dartmoor to Plymouth Dock (later renamed Devonport). It mostly follows the contours but in places the terrain forces a different approach. Here a cascade of water descends 50m and is then carried on a wooden aquaduct over the River Meavy. A rather special place for me. 📸 December 2018.
