To be clear to set the record straight on my support for the Massie Epstein discharge petition.

I stand with girls and women who are sexually abused and raped.

Period. Every time. At all times.

For me, it’s not about a pissing contest between political parties or political enemies.

The Epstein rape and pedophile network must be exposed.

The women and their attorney have said over and over that Donald Trump did nothing wrong and he was the only one that helped the women. That is factually true.

Also, the Democrats who had power for the past four years never did a single thing or showed they even cared about these women who were victims of Jeffrey Epstein. They could have exposed the entire thing while they had power but never lifted a finger to do so.

If anyone is implicated, then they have the right to clear their name.

Just as millions of Americans have had to do when falsely accused of a crime.

I’ve had to do that many times and even had to defend myself against lies and pay massive attorney bills to do it.

For example, I was wrongly accused of insurrection and actually had to sit on a witness stand, in a Georgia court of law, and defend myself and clear my name.

Release all the Epstein information by any means possible.

And return the focus to helping Americans.

I hear daily about how Americans can’t afford to pay their health insurance monthly premium, can’t afford rent, can’t afford to buy a home, can’t afford to pay for care for their aging parents, and can’t afford life in general.

The obsession over the Epstein files and fighting about it should not be happening and needs to end.

But it’s only an issue in the news because it has become a political fight and it should not be one.

My name is staying on the discharge petition and I will dive into the Oversight committee investigation just as I do with every investigation.

And to be clear once again, I stand with the women, and the women who were raped at 14.

Just what we need in these unsettling times: A “The Day After” for the 21st century, reminding us that nuclear weapons can still bring the planet to the brink and beyond. Kathryn Bigelow's “A House of Dynamite” is getting strong reviews, and it seems like it might traumatize a new generation of viewers as “The Day After” did in 1983. Coming to Netflix October 24.

"Threads" is worth a watch, don't know how well known it is in the US but it is thoroughly depressing. It's a totally different style to Hollywood, much more down to earth and focused on what happens to ordinary people. It was made in the 1980s so effects aren't slick but it's mainly focused on societal breakdown.

Testament (1983) is to America what Threads is to the UK. Nuclear war aftermath but focused on one neighborhood. Supremely depressing.

Interesting, so the most radioactive things here at my house (only slightly above background, not terribly radioactive):

1. Granite countertop (this is a known thing)
2. Night lights (apparently, tritium in there to make them glow)
3. Smoke detectors (bit o'radioactivity in there)
4. Rebar in the garden (hmmmmmmmmmmmm... apparently some radioactivity in the stream, this is where it's shown up in massive contamination events in the past, i.e Ciudad Juarez and the radioactive Taiwanese apartments).
5. Maybe (tough to tell) -- some of the newer drywall. Only slightly more active against it, not a lot.

What provides far more clicking was standing out in the sun. LOL

the night lights reminded me about the old fashion alarm clocks with glow in dark hands and radium-226,
in reply to Murray GM - Paperposts

@Paperposts Yeah, I recall there was a radioactive warehouse in Hollywood, California because someone was collecting aircraft dials, set off some sensors and then it was "OOPS, sorry about all the radium"

I am on the #HOA board for my small condo (25 units) in #Phoenix. Just got this from an owner:

“Evo, the rain is falling so quickly that I’m concerned about the level of water in the pool. Is the water draining at all after a certain point or do we need to physically remove a stopper to drain away some water?”

We’ve had 1.5” of rain.

And a pool is not a tub.

The acquisition of knowledge is so slow.

I wish there really were a "tree of the knowledge of good and evil". I would eat that fruit in a heartbeat.

I learn in order to communicate what I find good & useful. That means I must spend so much time where I am only learning & thinking but not yet sharing.

It always makes me afraid that I am being selfish. The world is on fire, & I sit here reading, hoping against hope that what I find will be of use to more than just me.

in reply to Artemis

On a certain level, I'm just glad to be here, sharing this world with you.

It's a world with pain & suffering, to be sure, but it's also what connects me to you.

You are not insufficient. You are not too small or too weak. You are not without value.

You're here, & I'm glad. I'm glad to share whatever all this is *(gestures vaguely at existence)* with others.

We don't have to be heroes or martyrs.

We just have to live & try.

in reply to Artemis

As a child, I learned to fear my own imperfection. God was perfect, & I was to be like God.

My life was one of constant failure. I could never be good enough, kind enough, self-sacrificing enough, or morally correct enough.

In my mind, every moment is a chance to fail to live up to what I should or could be.

I have to let this belief go & just live & be & do & let it be enough.

Portland, Oregon, this 27th day of September, Anno Domini 2025

My Dearest Bedelia,

I scrawl this by lantern light, surrounded by the tattered remnants of our regiment, their man buns sagging, their ironic beards singed by the flames of battle. We are a pitiful sight, but proud still. The National Guard came to crush us, to stamp out our rebellion with their Humvees and riot shields, but they did not reckon with the sheer resilience of men armed with cold brew and irony.

The field was chaos. Bearded cavalrymen on fixed-gear bicycles charged the line, their handlebars glinting in the sun. Squadrons of man-bun sharpshooters took position atop food carts, raining down insults about craft beer purity standards. The Guard returned fire with rubber bullets, but the beards absorbed much of the impact, acting as natural armor, thickened by years of kombucha and smug self-regard.

I myself led a company of artisanal soap-makers into the fray. Their musk of sandalwood and bergamot confused the enemy, who mistook it for some new chemical weapon. In truth, it was nothing more than the pungent sweat of men who have not used deodorant since Occupy.

And lo, Bedelia, we prevailed. The Guard faltered, overwhelmed not by our firepower, but by our sheer commitment to ironic detachment. One Guardsman, poor boy, dropped his weapon and confessed he could no longer fight after being mocked for his mainstream haircut. Truly, our sarcasm cuts deeper than any blade.

Now the city is ours again, for the moment. The men gather round, grooming their mustaches, tying their topknots, and sipping bitter IPAs brewed in bathtubs. I miss you terribly, my sweet Bedelia. Were you here, I would crown you with a wreath of kale and serenade you with banjo strums, though out of tune they may be.

Pray for us, for tomorrow the Guard may return, and our beards will again be put to the test.

Yours always,
Major Hugo “Manbun” Reynolds, Stumptown Volunteers

“This is going to keep escalating, so it would be a good idea for liberals to *listen to anarchists* since we've been doing this for years.”

If you're feeling worried and not sure where to start with protecting yourself and folks you are in community with, please read this:

From: @Hex
kolektiva.social/@Hex/11527836…

As anarchists, when we were organizing against Trump, in the lead up to and early in his last term, we recognized the potential for repression. Radicals have always been targeted, but now he's going after moderate liberals. This is going to keep escalating, so it would be a good idea for liberals to *listen to anarchists* since we've been doing this for years.

Anarchists have been kidnapped and held without charges for months at a tim (check out en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seattl…. Only for those folks, they were kidnapped and held without trial under Obama.) Radicals have been doing this for years. It's worth your time to listen so you know how to prepare.

We had a bail fund set up. Support your local bail fund and don't try to start your own (liberals in Seattle did that last time). We focused on basic survival for our members. When the regime cracks down it will be random (since they can't get everyone). How are you going to support folks? Bail funds are a nice first step, but the whole process can take a long time. People can (and often do) lose their jobs, even if they aren't convicted of anything. Are you going to make sure targeted people are able to pay rent and get food? Are you going to make sure families are taken care of when a parent is kidnapped?

Resistence is only a threat if it's sustainable, otherwise they can just overpower and wait. You have to be able to wait longer. Occupations are *extremely* expensive. If you can support each other through an occupation, you can win.

So what is your plan? How are you going to make sure that those who fight can keep fighting? The best time to think about that question was under Biden. The second best time is now.

“This is disaster prep work. We are in a disaster, how do you prepare for it to get worse?”

A lot of this work is unglamorous, but it is all significant. A lot of it is things folks already know how to do, on some level.

We just need to recognize that the moment we need to do them is here. It's now. Start making sure everyone eats.

From: @Hex
kolektiva.social/@Hex/11527840…

One of our most important projects was the "food security committee" which made sure that our members always ate. It expanded out and now members of that committee still can food and bring it to houseless camps (among other things).

This is disaster prep work. We are in a disaster, how do you prepare for it to get worse? How to you prepare to come out the other side?

The only way we survive this level of disaster is together. Organize around that idea and you'll already be building the world we want to see on the other side.

The video begins with a computer desktop screen featuring a wallpaper of an animated character with brown hair tied in a ponytail, wearing a school uniform. The desktop is cluttered with various icons and a file explorer window open, displaying a list of files and folders. The scene transitions to a black screen with the text "MADE WITH Unity" in white, indicating the game engine used. Following this, a cautionary message in Japanese appears, warning users about the game's content and advising against playing if under 18. The message is displayed on a black background with yellow text. The next frame shows the game's title screen, "#彼女のマネキンボンド" (Her Mannequin Bond), with options for "NEW GAME," "LOAD," and "GALLERY" in Japanese, along with an image of a blonde-haired character in a school uniform. The final frame shows the same title screen, with the "LOAD" button highlighted in green, suggesting an action has been taken. The desktop icons and the animated character wallpaper remain visible throughout the video, maintaining a consistent visual theme.
