Hab unlängst einmal Kleinholz gemacht. So hab ich den Strauchschnitt von letztem Herbst und diesem Frühjahr gehäckselt... hach was ist so ein Leisehäcksler für ein meditatives Gerät...
Mjamjamjamjamjamjamjam frisst es Ast um Ast.
Und bei jedem Ast stell ich mir einen anderen Hirschen aus der Politik vor, den dieses Spaghettimonster da verspeist genüsslich.
Den Donald, den Wladi, den Herbert, die Alice, den Fritze, den Nominik und wie sie alle heißen...
Nun ja. Der Strauchschnitt lag so im Garten herum, weil ich einerseits keinen Häcksler hatte, und andererseits ich den Insekten Tieren auch ein schönes Daheim geben wollte.
Aber nun hab ich das Geäst dem natürlichen Kreislauf zugeführt und ernte hoffentlich kommendes Jahr guten Humus fürs Gemüsebeet. Papa will ja auch was habern.
Der eine Haufen liegt nun schon ein paar Wochen da. Jetzt stelle ich fest, irgendwas ist schon eingezogen...
Ob das ein Igel ist? Zwei, drei solchige streunen nämlich Nacht für Nacht in unseren Gärten da herum.
Für Ratten ist das Loch nämlich zu groß.
Danke für den Tipp. Leider zu spät. In dem einen Haufen wohnt nun schon jemand... den werd ich sicher nicht mehr zerstören.
Den anderen Haufen muss ich noch kontrollieren. Da könnt ich noch was untermischen.
Ansonsten misch ich die Hornspäne gleich unter den Kompost im Frühjahr, wenn ich den auf meinen Beeten verteil und einarbeite.

I feel like one could direct a movie about the continuous obseletion of tech that's perfectly functional simply because the newer stuff is just that much better it doesn't make sense to keep using it, because of power efficiency and the resources its existence prevents from being reused in more efficient ways.
At heart I keep wanting to reuse things and repair things infinitely, but strangely, counterintuitively, that doesn't always make sense. Although maybe we could find more efficient ways?🤔
Like what if you could take the chip and hook it up to more RAM like you would with an older desktop (CPU)?
Or what if you could just replace the chip and memory, saving all the other components?
If GPUs were more SoC-like, we could develop some kind of backwards compatible bus akin to PCIE but at chip level for getting access to memory and being accessed and commanded from the main CPU perhaps?
Maybe one day humanity will figure out true resource reuse in computer tech, it's kinda needed tbh

Have a bizarre observation that I hope someone can help with.
On #Windows 11, D: (1.4TB) and X: (350GB) are on the same physical NVME SSD. When I do `winsat disk -drive` I get a proper seq write speed (3.7GB/s) for X but only 336MB/s for D.
Any idea why or what I can check? Help/ RT appreciated.

In the same way that you need valid, accurate context when using AI tools to create documentation, AI tools need an accurate body of documentation to produce useful, hallucination-free outputs. Informal tests by my colleagues show that AI outputs improve by orders of magnitude when trained on more abundant and accurate documentation.

In other words, technical writers will create and package information specifically for AI consumption, ensuring the AI has the necessary context to produce accurate and relevant results.
There’s a sales motive for keeping technical writers around, too. Let’s say an external developer needs to create, say, a mapping application for their project, and they decide they need routing logic. Following a vibecoding approach, they integrate your company’s MCP server into their IDE and tell their AI tool to create an app that draws routes from one point to another. If the AI tool can successfully fulfill the developer’s needs, requiring only that they provide an API key (which then initiates billing), the company that has provided this solution will sell more API services. No one wants to fiddle and fuss with hard-to-configure technology that doesn’t work, and by hard-to-configure, I mean APIs that require manual configuration rather than APIs you can configure with natural language."
