We are living in one of the darkest hours of our history, up there with the early expansion of Hitlerism I'd say.
It's really hard being a person with any kind of hope for a better future when the current direction of everything is towards eugenicism, reactionism, and the end of scientific thought.
It's not just a politics thing for me. I'm also a person studying physics, a discipline that fascists famously refuse to understand, and even have disdain for. Not to mention my personal life as a transgender woman.
Like, one of the things the Nazis did in the field of science was to relentlessly attack the practitioners of theoretical physics who promoted novel and innovative ideas. (often attacking Jewish physicists as well, such as Albert Einstein)
