sometimes I wish I had been born and lived my whole life in the same small village, secluded from the rest of the world, without any means of communication or transport that would allow me to learn about and visit other places and periods in human history.
because, when I take stock of my life, what I have experienced is not very different.
but with the added torture of seeing and learning about other lives and other experiences and other places and other possibilities that I have never had, every day, even without necessarily leaving home, staying in my small home/village/town/shitty country with fewer possibilities than I would have had living in other places.
