It's this thing about self-victimization and gallons of #tears about being misused while a the same time claiming to be the greatest and richest and best and scolding others for being stupid ... which seems to still 'catch' a number of people.

@jpenuchot In fairness most of the point of article 5 is to be there without being invoked; its value is in deterring conflict in the first place and so it provides value to signatories even if they never invoke it.
I’m not saying I agree with Trump or that I think Trump has any grasp of reality as it is.
(I do think NATO states not meeting the agreed defense spending targets was BS and I am happy to see that being addressed)
