I suppose now is as good a time as any to talk about nuclear weapons.
First, let's talk about generalities.
Russia is losing a lot in Ukraine right now. They are burning through tanks, guns, etc., at an alarming rate. Worse, they are burning through enough Russian lives to have a large impact on the Russian population for a long time.

Trump is dumb enough to risk that, so let us talk about the details of how launching works in the American military.
Imagine a command structure. It is an upside-down tree with the president at the top. If the president gives the order to deploy large numbers of nuclear weapons, that decision has to filter down the chain…

…to whomever actually deploys the weapon in question. The system is set up so that anyone in that chain of command can say “no,” and no one under them in the chain of command will be able to deploy nukes.
In the case of a nuclear missile silo, the final decision to launch is made by two people. They have to put keys into a console where the key holes are far enough apart that you need a minimum of two people to actually launch the missile.
One cannot do it alone.

The people with those keys have pistols for the express purpose of killing the other key-holder in case the other key-holder goes crazy and tries to launch when a launch should not happen.
What you should notice is that the system is largely designed to PREVENT the deployment of nuclear weapons.
This is highly classified information that I am not supposed to know. It is decades old, so hopefully, I am not getting anyone in trouble by saying this.

A test was conducted at the height of the Cold War. The results of the test: if the president orders an all-out launch, only around 10% of the nuclear weapons would actually deploy.
Again, if you go look at what I described above, you will be able to see that the system is designed to produce results like this. This test result should surprise no one who understands how the launch commands work.
Anyway, I legitimately think Trump is crazy enough to order this.

Given that the military itself has been calling the current war “Operation Epstein Fury,” I think it is safe to say that if Trump gives the order, the number of nuclear weapons to actually deploy will be far below 10%.
I would not expect Donald Trump to understand ANY of the above, but this information is probably worth knowing.
It is a small comfort, I know, but hopefully, it is a comfort for you.

Oh Lord, Russia was falling off a demographic cliff because of the disintegration of the USSR and then that joker thought it was a good idea to go to war.
