Hooray! I did it. I started my own #Mastodon instance at mementomori.social

Why I did it:
👍 My instance, my rules (no rules except me being kind to everyone)
👍 I have character limit set to 1000
👍 I want to learn and possibly contribute in GitHub github.com/mastodon/mastodon
👍 I registered my own cool domain. The stoic wisdom "Memento mori" is something I have been practicing in therapy for the better past of the year to beat death anxiety. This is a great reminder for me to remember I'm going to die.
👍 I'd always have the Mastodon version that is bleeding edge
👍 Freedom to make this look like me.

I'm thrilled. I'm not sure yet whether I will fully migrate. We'll see soon.
