I was horrified to realize that ReedPop is RELX's exhibition business. RELX is a data broker for ICE. ReedPop runs PAX, New York Comic Con, and probably other pop culture cons. I got a receipt directly from RELX when i bought my PAX ticket.

All that attendee data is likely shared with ICE, although this is an assumption. That's really unsafe for attendees. These cons need to change their exhibition vendor stat.

Cory Doctorow reshared this.
