Interesting. Twitter/X scopes replies/comments to specific post revisions.

Post A → 2 comments
Post A edited, becomes Post B → 2 comments are not displayed anymore

It shows the count "2" but not rendering them, until clicking on Edit History and clicking on the previous post that has those replies 🤔

I can see the reasoning, but I suspect it's going to be more confusing than helpful. I'd try something like showing all replies and adding a mark if the reply is to an earlier version. (slight complication when replies are also edited)
