everything I upload gets regurgitated into indexed colors or some garbage, and therefore I don't #usepixelfed anymore, because why bother if it can't handle showing my photos accurately? (y'know, like a photo sharing social media platform should.)
sigh.
Uploading through official Android App or web Browser strips the colour / color profile information

in reply to worldruined • • •Hello, sorry about this, how are you using Pixelfed? Are you composing a new post via the app or the webUI as the color profiles are not stripped from the webUI, but we haven't finished supporting this on the app.
It will be fixed soon, and we'll let you know when the update is available.

immediately upon upload, files look correct. after ~35 seconds, I can refresh and they're suddenly "indexed" color and stay that way.
I can upload the file to any other site -- Instagram, Twitter, Bluesky, Mastodon -- without a problem.
