We are adding a visual indicator concerning the visibility of messages when composing. Each color related to visibility can be customized (public, unlisted, private and direct). This option can be disabled in settings. #Fedilab

Should we enable that feature by default?

it reminds me of a problem: it would be great to have the information of the visibility status of the message we're answering.

Bookmarked, we will add this information on messages displayed at the top when replying.

Once again, I have noticed something else that has always bothered me. When I search for a word, I would like to filter it so that it only searches for posts, profiles, hashtags in a predetermined language.
Is that possible?
in reply to Fedilab Apps

Yes, bit it's a little unfair to colorblind people.

What if the amount of visibility was also correlated to the amount of length of the dashes on the bottom colored line? Like public is unbroken line, unlisted is line with wide dashes, private is line with minus-length dashes, direct is dotted line

@shansterable Button icon already indicates the selected visibility. Color is an additional indicator and these colors can be customized too 😀

Looks great, just the first question that pops up for me, even not being one, is colourblind accessability.
in reply to Fedilab Apps

Please bear in mind that some people have difficulty distinguishing between certain colors. If different settings are mainly indicated by different colors, this is not very accessible. There should at least also be clearly distinguishable symbols. This is also important if the display is set to grayscale ("reading mode").

@oausi These new colors can be customized. Also the button's icon changes to indicate the selected visibility
