Obviously, this is a phishing attack, but well, maybe it's less obvious to some. If you see a post like this, it's phishing.
I have to say that icon for the "mastodon support desk headset" is kinda funny tho

in reply to Evan Prodromou • • •@evan The irony here is that I just moved instances because my old instance added some kind of bot-prevention captcha step as like a proxy in front of the whole service which of course broke every client.
And then I got one of these verification dms shortly after joining the new instance. For a second I was like “oh here we go again…”
