Here are mine.

I filled in the storm names
Exxon
Shell
BP
Chevron
GazProm

And I gave "Reason for name choices" as:
To properly acknowledge the source of the climate conditions.

Great idea - thanks for this! Imagine if a whole lot of people had similar #StormNames suggestions?

Maybe a boost from folk like @spellingmistakescostlives and @ed_hawkins would help

Storm name suggestions from screenshot. The suggested storm names are (like in the OP's post) BP, Shell, Chevron, Exxon and Gazprom.

The rationale for suggesting these names reads...

As Frank Ikard, the president of the American Petroleum Institute, stated in 1965: “there is still time to save the world’s peoples from the catastrophic consequences of [CO2] pollution, but time is running out."

Let's take this opportunity to name and shame the companies that knew about the potentially devastating impact of global warming, but chose to bury the truth. Let every storm forecast remind us that they chose to place profit before people and planet.
