We have invented a very, very fancy magic eight ball, everyone! Congratulations. Well done. Let's take a few trillion more victory laps to pat ourselves on the back. 🏅

That is part of the wedding vows of Ming the Merciless played with villainous magnificence by the great Max von Sydow in Flash Gordon. He's also the villain in the silly comedy Strange Brew. But Flash Gordon was great; it is horribly underrated, having: A kick-ass soundtrack by Queen at the height of their talent. Topol's great performance as Dr. Hans Zarkov. Brian Blessed as the best imaginable leader of the Hawkmen. Timothy Dalton at his absolute best, chained to a wall in a space dungeon delivering the line "So, tell me more about this man Houdini." which became a meme. And finally a god to me, a minor deity anyway, Richard O'Brien (of Rocky Horror and Shock Treatment fame) in a small part as the fake prisoner that helps Flash escape and takes him to a sacred place so he can be justifiably killed, but ostensibly to get weapons, and when dumbass Flash asks where the weapons are, O'brien says "Feel one" in the greatest way as he pulls a knife on Flash. It's pure Genius!
