31 August 1926 | A Polish Jew, Dawid Wiśnia, was born in Sochaczew.

Deported to #Auschwitz in December 1942 from the ghetto in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki
No. 83526

In 1944 he escaped from a transport to Dachau.
He joined the US Army & later emigrated to the US. He became a cantor.
He passed away in 2021.

We must remember the testimony of survivors of the Shoah.

I will always remember and retell as best I can the story of one survivor who told me how he survived a Nazi death camp during a Friday evening Shabbat dinner at the home of a close family friend.

The husband of my host's cousin had not told his story to anyone until that night. It was a story of extra pieces of roll given to him by a gentile kitchen worker, saving his life.

Looking up just mr. Wiśnia's last name, victims.auschwitz.org/victims?…, results in 5 records found ("Wisnia", victims.auschwitz.org/victims?… finds 9, minimal data of every person in the Alt text of the screenshot below). None of those records includes a photograph.

Adding a record for mr. Dawid Wiśnia would be a double encrichment of your database (1: another record; 2,: *with* a photograph) while the work required is next to negligible: all the required details are in your toot.

But you will not do that, because your hasbara toots attract a lot more attention *and* because you do neither care about individual Holocaust victims, nor about people looking for information in your database.

You favour toots, not just *directly* because such toots get boosted (mostly by bots and fake accounts) a lot, but also "indirectly" because "impressive" toots uploaded by you are usually boosted that many times that they become trending.
