This is beautiful. I've been looking at this for 5 hours now.

The Microsoft Windows 2025 experience, expressed in a single picture (by @MMatt14):
"terminal" is typed into Start Menu search, first result is an ad of the movie title "Terminal" (not even The Terminal with Tom Hanks). The ad includes 3 bad crops of the same movie poster.

I disabled that feature.

What worries me more is that there’s likely someone at today's Apple looking at this and thinking, “yes, this is the way!”

A screenshot of the PowerToys Command Palette. The user has typed "Terminal". The top result is "Terminal Canary" (because I use that more often than the stable channel "Terminal", which is the second result)

@pkirn the #powertoys Command Palette. It's gotten sooo gooood in the last couple releases

I still can't for the life of me even force Windows to do that, though. I only get the app (even if real Windows heads would be looking for cmd.exe, not 'Terminal' ;) )

From Parallels... new install so I haven't turned off some of this functionality yet (which you can...)
