Internet will *never* be in the sky. Satellites may be great for one Ranch per squaremile, but can never ever deliver enough bandwidth for larger/denser populations.

#SciFi #NealStephenson introduced the idea of a program run on many distributed nodes to optimise orbits and the manoeuvres to avoid collisions, called it Perambulator and for plot purposes gave it a very long span of use.
