When a city has only about 1/3 places for homeless people to go that doesn't include jail or mental hospital, but they continue stealing everything you need to service, they saying its #Illegal2BHomless but people in #AmeriKKKa don't care. Trump painted a huge target on the back of every single #homeless person but the silence continues.

Below the tent, there is a white sign with the text "EIGHTH AMENDMENT PROHIBITS CRUEL & UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT" also written in black marker. The sign is placed on the ground, and the tent is partially visible, with a gray fabric underneath the green top. The ground is scattered with fallen leaves, indicating an outdoor setting, possibly during autumn. A large white sign with black text is prominently displayed on the tent, reading "FOURTH AMENDMENT PROHIBITS UNREASONABLE SEARCHES & SEIZURES." The sign is handwritten, with the text in capital letters. The tent appears to be a portable camping tent, with a visible logo on the side. The image shows a black and white protest poster with a floral border. The title "STOP THE SWEEPS PROTEST" is prominently displayed at the top in bold, capital letters. Below the title, the poster states the purpose of the gathering, which is to show solidarity with homeless community members whose human rights have been violated for decades. It emphasizes the unacceptable conditions they suffer under and the need for equal solidarity. The poster also highlights that homelessness intersects with every marginalized group, including migrants, queer people, and those who can give birth, and that these individuals are the most vulnerable and experience the most violence from the state. The event is scheduled for September 25th and 26th, all day, in St. Johns Square, with free food and sign making available.

The image is a black and white protest poster titled "STOP THE SWEEPS PROTEST." The poster features a central illustration of two hands clasped together, symbolizing solidarity, with a rose on each side. Above the hands, there is a butterfly with human faces on its wings, and below, a Gothic-style building, possibly representing a local landmark. The text "It's time to show solidarity" is positioned to the left of the hands, and "Community means EVERYONE who lives here housed or not" is on the right. The event details are at the bottom, stating "Sep 25th and 26th all day in the St. Johns square," with additional information about free food and skill sharing. The poster encourages people to "COME SUPPORT UNHOUSED COMMUNITY MEMBERS."

As we were setting up the protest posters and information table, they came and tagged my "tent" for sweeping. #Portland #StJohns #PDX

Any time after Saturday (9/28) at 9:30 am, they will be sweeping a PROTEST tent. Anyone and everyone, come here to the St John's clock tower and surround the tent like Chicago does against ICE *IF* you give a fuck about your neighbors or aren't #homeless people good enough?

how are you doing, Bob? Did they come for you, or are you still there? You’re really far from me, but I’d like to see if I can make it out there. Would it help to bring food and water for everyone?
