On iOS, the official Peertube app works okay.

It’s still being improved, but I’m surprised it became so good, so fast.

I don’t know about Android though.

[Announcement] Keepers of the Flame FAQ

Following the Keepers of the Flame Content Reveal last week, we've seen a lot of questions about this update to Path of Exile. Check out the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions below.

The most recently answered questions are at the top.

What will it cost to respec points in the Genesis Tree passive tree?

Nothing, doing so is free.

Will I be able to hide my grafts if they conflict with the MTX I want to wear?

We are adding a "Hide Grafts" option in the MTX menu. This should be in place on release, but if it isn't it will be available shortly after.

What is happening with classic Breach Uniques like Xoph's Blood?

These will still exist, you'll be able to grow them on the Genesis tree or in some cases they'll come from Breach related Bosses.

Many of these will now have Foulborn variants to check out as well!

For the purpose of Schizophrenic Dissociation do Jewels socketed into a cluster jewel count as being socketed in your passive tree?

Yes

What is happening with content that is tied to Breach?

Breachstones will still work in standard, but are unobtainable in Keepers Leagues.

Breach Scarabs will be unavailable in the Keepers league.

Chayula on Maven's Invitation: The Feared has been replaced with the Incarnation of Dread.

Maven's Invitation: The Hidden is now replaced with The Remembered, requiring Witness of Courtyard of Wasting, Chambers of Impurity and Theatre of Lies.

It That Fled does not appear in Betrayal encounters in Keepers Leagues.

Will the identification of items use the Ctrl+Click shortcut from Path of Exile 2?

The quick shortcut for item identification is Ctrl+Alt+Click on Mouse and Keyboard.

Can all uniques be Foulborn?

Not all uniques can be Foulborn, the list of uniques that can be is still ongoing however there will be more than one hundred. Uniques that come from specific sources, such as boss uniques cannot be Foulborn.

Have there been any changes made to the frequency of finding Aul in Delve?

The frequency of Aul appearing in Delve is unchanged.

Will Faustus in the Rogue harbour also be able to manage asynchronous trade?

Faustus asynchronous trade will only be available in hideouts.

Will we be able to change our Bloodline Ascendancy and how?

Yes, you can respec your current Bloodline Ascendancy with another for free (after defeating a relevant boss). Otherwise, you can use Orbs of Regret or gold to respec those points like normal Ascendancy points (5 refund points each).

Can multiple party members all get the same Bloodline Ascendancy from the same boss?

Yes, assuming they are in the fight when the boss is killed.

Will Windburst Support work with movement from things like Flame Dash or Flicker Strike?

Yes. It counts movement from travel skills as well as regular movement.

Will graft skills scale off my damage and am I able to die from my graft skills reflected damage?

Graft skills do not scale off of player stats, but do have affixes which will affect their skills in many ways. Since graft damage is not dealt by the player, reflected damage will not be dealt back to the player from graft skill use.

How many Spectral Tigers can you have and how much Critical Chance, Attack and Cast Speed do they give?

You can have up to 5 of them and each of them grants 25% Increased Critical Chance, 7% Increased Attack Speed and 7% Increased Cast Speed.

We'll continue to monitor for questions and will continue to update this post when we do. Thank you so much for your continued support, we'll see you at launch!

Imagine living in the universe where Data is bald 💀

in reply to Kami

What's the real reason then?

I don't see anything wrong with slowing production to improve quality and working conditions.

Kami doesn't like this.

in reply to nihilomaster

They don't care about quality, as we have already seen multiple times, and such companies don't care about working conditions, as we can see everywhere in the world.

One episode every two weeks means doubling its duration. That's it.

It's about money, as always.

Which part of the globe are you folks based on? Any advise for someone seeking opportunities in another country (that may require visa sponsorship)?

We are throughout USA and Europe. I can give you personal advice as someone who emigrated, and you might want to ask the question in the community chats of different chapters, but TWC is for collective action, not for individual career support

Mad respects.

As a Chinese-American, I feel so depressed about the situation of both countries I lived in, tyranny is everywhere. I'm being targeted by both countries and tbh I'm just not brave enough to do actual protests, because I'm scared and I just want to stay under the radar. I'm dealing with a lot of depression, and I don't think I have the endurance it takes. I already got falsely arrested once by the US Gestapo and I'm still dealing with the PTSD.

in reply to 鳳凰院 凶真 (Hououin Kyouma)

If anything it's not up to you to protest inside the US. Minority opinions have mattered very little inside this country. Its up to the white majority to realize that eventually the rights they take away from others they take away from themselves

AI "Phone Farm" Startup Gets Funding from Marc Andreessen to Flood Social Media With Spam

You know those obnoxious social media accounts that flood your messages with spam? Those might not be scammers after all, but a legitimate new business backed by one of the most powerful venture capital funds in Silicon Valley.

Introducing Doublespeed, a startup operating a phone farm to flood social media with AI-generated slop on behalf of its clients. In a nutshell, phone farming is a tactic most often used by hackers and financial criminals to use large numbers of devices to send spam texts, farm social media engagement, or generate fake reviews.

On its website, the fledgling company bills itself as a “bulk content creation” service. Basically, it lets customers “orchestrate actions on thousands of social accounts through both bulk content creation and deployment.” It does this through “instrumented human action,” a fancy phrase meaning the company’s phone bots will somehow mimic “natural user interaction on physical devices to get our content to appear human to the algorithims [sic].”

In a post on X-formerly-Twitter, Doublespeed co-founder Zuhair Lakhani even boasts that they used AI to write the company’s code. “Claude code is truly our third cofounder,” he wrote.

The whole thing is backed by a $1 million cash injection from a16z, also known as Andreessen Horowitz, the venture capitalist firm founded by Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz back in 2009.

Doublespeed clients can expect to pay anywhere between $1,500 and $7,500 a month for access to its phone farm.

need some help [setting up a server]

Hi everyone!

I've been enjoying playing Luanti (formerly Minetest), so I decided to create my own server to play and chat with friends, use downloaded mods, and generally enjoy the process, like in Minecraft. However, I'm having a hard time setting up the server.

I tested programs such as Hamachi, playit.gg, and FreeDNS Update, but they didn't work. I also don't know how or where to create a domain for my server. When I started the server, an error message appeared that said, "Connection timeout has expired."

I have a Windows 11 laptop with good RAM and a hotspot on an Android tablet.

If anyone knows the solution, please let me know.

Thanks for reading!

Hosting on a mobile connection (3G/4G/5G) is very hard, as nearly all of them have a CGNAT that prevents outside access to your server. You could in theory set up a VPN with Wireguard or something like Tailscale, but that is not so easy.

If that is all you have, I recommend renting a VPS somewhere instead.

Questa voce è stata modificata (1 settimana fa)
in reply to poVoq

Yes, I understand. I don't have a VPS or a Wi-Fi router, sorry.
But if I get or have a VPS on my laptop, would that work? Or is there another way to access it without a VPS?
in reply to JayAndrewBoy

I think you mean a VPN (sorry those abbreviations are a bit confusing). Most consumer VPNs are not mean to host things. So you need to either set up a fully private one only between you and your friends (with Wireguard or similar), basically what Hamachi does, but more modern, or you need to get something like Tailscale that is specifically meant for exposing your server behind a CGNAT.

But the free tier of Tailscale will likely be insufficient, and once you pay, you might as well pay for a cloud server (VPS) and host the Luanti server there 24/7.

Great news! It's much more beneficial for all involved parties. Also, as the article mentions, moving to FOSS doesn't mean you're on your own. Just like Microsoft "Partners" help with integration and smooth operation, there are similar agencies offering the same services for FOSS solutions.

Not only that, but feedback and bugfixes to FOSS software indirectly benefits others too instead of some Microsoft manager.
So, good use of tax money benefiting citizens and everyone else!

Stop using Brave Browser

Brave Software, the company behind the browser of the same name, was founded by Brendan Eich. He's best known as the creator of JavaScript from his days at Netscape Communications, and he was later the co-founder of Mozilla. He remained at Mozilla Foundation and its for-profit segment, Mozilla Corporation, well into the 2000s. In 2014, he was appointed as CEO of Mozilla Corporation, which immediately caused backlash from at least a few people inside Mozilla and many people outside the organization.

Why was appointing Eich as CEO so controversial? It's because he donated $1,000 in support of California's Proposition 8 in 2008, which was a proposed amendment to California's state constitution to ban same-sex marriage. Eich wrote a blog post defending himself in 2012, when the donation was initially discovered, where did not apologize and denied the donation made him a bigot:

Here's a bonus fun fact: one of those early investors was Founders Fund, which is operated by billionaire Peter Thiel. He's a regular campaign donor to far-right political candidates, and said in an essay that "I no longer think that freedom and democracy are compatible." He also keeps funding libertarian “seasteading” ships designed to function as independent cities in international waters (think BioShock), all of which have failed miserably.

Brave was also caught up in a privacy scandal in 2020, when it was revealed that the browser was adding affiliate codes to some URLs typed into the address bar. For example, typing in “binance.us” would add Brave’s affiliate link to the end, allowing Brave Software to collect revenue from signups or purchases. An official blog post called that “a mistake,” and the functionality was later turned off. That should have been enough to swear off Brave as a privacy-centric browser forever, considering the entire point of affiliate links is to collect data about the user and traffic source. For example, when you click an Amazon affiliate link in a web article, the publisher can see the exact products you purchase in the timeframe the tracking cookie remains active (which is currently 24 hours).
