Burra Cemetery is a heritage-listed site in the historic mining town of Burra, South Australia. Established in 1850, it replaced an earlier burial ground from 1846 and quickly became the final resting place for many of Burra’s early settlers, miners, and prominent families.
The cemetery’s iconic stone wall was built in 1854, enclosing a landscape rich with colonial history. Burra itself was a major copper mining center in the 19th century, and the cemetery reflects the town’s social and economic evolution—from Cornish miners to civic leaders.

L’esercito israeliano ha annunciato che ha preso il controllo del 40% dei territori della città di Gaza, dopo giorni di campagna intensificata, tra bombardamenti, attacchi drone e operazioni di terra. La violenza sulla città è senza sosta: nel corso della giornata di giovedì a Gaza città sono state uccise più di 30 persone — parte delle 64 uccise in tutta la Striscia — e solo nelle ultime ore, in piena notte, le IDF hanno ucciso altre 18 persone, colpendo case e tende per sfollati. Tra gli uccisi ci sono anche 7 bambini. Annunciando il risultato dei primi giorni di campagna, il portavoce delle IDF Ephraim Defrin ha dichiarato che l’offensiva “continuerà a espandersi e a intensificarsi nei prossimi giorni,” con l’obiettivo di “aumentare la pressione” su Hamas. La conquista di Gaza procede nonostante l’intensificarsi delle condanne internazionali contro Israele — con politica e militari di Tel Aviv forti della mancanza di conseguenze alle dichiarazioni dei leader occidentali. Giovedì la vicepresidente della Commissione europea Teresa Ribera ha dichiarato, parlando all’apertura dell’anno accademico a Sciences Po, a Parigi, che quello in corso a Gaza è un genocidio: “Il genocidio a Gaza mette in luce l'incapacità dell'Europa di agire e parlare con una sola voce, nonostante la diffusione delle proteste nelle città europee e l'appello di 14 membri del Consiglio di sicurezza dell'ONU per un cessate il fuoco immediato.” Ribera ha dato voce alla frustrazione di molti governi comunitari, ma il dato di fatto è che l’Europa su Gaza resta ferma, grazie all’asse di Germania e Ungheria, che si rifiutano categoricamente di sospendere il trattato commerciale tra il blocco e Israele. Let’s start with the good, because there is some. It’s officially licensed NBA basketball. It’s got Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on the cover. It’s “hyper-realistic.” You’ll see sweat bead up on a forehead in 4K HDR. And yes, it’s still the only game in town if you want NBA + WNBA under one roof. Yay.
Now the ugly. To even play this thing, you’ve got to agree to a third-party EULA, sign up for a 2K Sports account, and swallow Denuvo DRM whole. Welcome to gaming in 2025.
The price? An insult. The base game is C$89.99. Want the Superstar Edition? That’s C$129.99. The “Leave No Doubt Edition”? C$199.99. Oh, and DLC will run you another C$94.46. Microtransactions still lurk in every corner like a loan shark—VC purchases, card packs, boosters—the usual nickel-and-diming. It’s not just greed. It’s predatory.
And for all that cash, what do you get? Bugs. Matchmaking that sputters. No crossplay outside of PS5/Xbox Series X|S. PC gamers? Forget it. AMD GPU users are reporting crashes and launch failures. Even when it runs, the new “Green or Miss” shot system is dividing players—some call it “skill-based,” others call it “broken.”
Critics are applauding the new motion engine and visuals, but Steam users are far less charitable: only 65% positive reviews. Which is basically gamers shouting, we paid full price for a beta test.
This is supposed to be the “next era” of basketball gaming. Instead, it feels like the same tired playbook: polish the sweat, charge triple digits, then patch the mess later.
Avoid this dumpster fire. You’ll find better hoops—and better value—elsewhere.
