I use Thunderbird successfully with JAWS and a braille display. I'm able to read message bodies, compose and reply to messages. Curious as to how this was determined?

@robini71 @mcourcel Souhnds like they did some testing with users. But, objectively some results of this testing are iffy. I think this probably falls into the user not knowing their screen reader category.

@noodlemaz the thing is, I don’t think she was actually trying to get away with anything - if I took legal advice I’d assume I could trust it, because what do lay people know about the things? Whereas the crowing old men are deliberately paying as little into the public coffers as they can.
@noodlemaz she had to get a KC to go over the details and conclude that she should have paid higher rate. It’s not straightforward and I genuinely don’t think a dodge. But in her position she really should have made doubly sure beforehand…her critics have been waiting for just such a thing, mistake or not.
@noodlemaz honestly think her only error was not getting a proper expert opinion at the time given complexity and her position. She could even have erred on side of caution and paid higher rate until she knew for sure as easy enough to get a refund. There’s a lot I don’t like about Labour and their policies atm but this is actually quite sad, to be brought down by something like this when others get away with deliberate tax evasion and worse.
