Congress has taken no action about this, it was entirely due to an order by Trump.
This brings up a couple of questions:
- Where are all the useful idiots who claimed Trump was the candidate of peace?

Due parole in più sul discorso che facevo ieri: "ridere di" e "ridere con".
Ridere ha uno strano potere sugli esseri umani: stabilizza le relazioni di gruppo. Probabilmente su questo argomento sono stati scritti volumi? Non lo so, nel caso non li ho letti, ma basta osservare per notare questa cosa: quando si ride insieme vuol dire che esiste un'intesa, che ci si trova a proprio agio, che si hanno abbastanza cose in comune per condividere uno scherzo e capirlo. L'aggressività si attenua, le barriere si abbassano, si sta bene.
Per contro chi non ride con il gruppo è strano: non capisce, non è incluso.
Ciò di cui il gruppo ride è automaticamente escluso dal gruppo, isolato, diverso, estraneo e come estraneo può essere maltrattato. È debole perché è isolato.
Anche il "giullare" del gruppo è in questa condizione: rimane attaccato al gruppo perché essere da solo è peggio, ma ricopre il ruolo dell'estraneo, praticamente un estraneo portatile da usare quando c'è da ridere.
In questo modo si stabiliscono relazioni precise: noi/loro, quelli con cui rido/quelli di cui rido.
Si stabiliscono anche relazioni gerarchiche nel gruppo, come una specie di figura romboidale: da una parte il capo e dall'altra il giullare: la maggioranza sta nel mezzo, non può ridere del capo ma può ridere del giullare.
Stabilito che la risata è per gli esseri umani un potente strumento per stabilire le dinamiche di gruppo, ne consegue che va posta una grande attenzione nel considerare con chi e di chi ridiamo.
Anche l'educazione dei cuccioli in questo senso è importante.
Barzellette, giochi, fumetti, cartoni animati, storie, racconti e fiabe sono finzioni che abituano, tra le altre cose, a comprendere quando e come ridere secondo le regole del nostro gruppo.
Il cucciolo cresce così con già un'idea che per esempio si può ridere di una tragedia se: è per finta, nessuno si è fatto male davvero, chi si è fatto male non era importante nello schema delle cose, chi si è fatto male assume su di sè il ruolo di giullare, chi si è fatto male se l'è cercata.
Messa così sembra che esagero?
In realtà no, prendiamo alcune scene comiche abbastanza normali: un personaggio imbranato si allaccia male i lacci delle scarpe, inciampa, scivola e batte il naso: tutti ridono.
Un personaggio imbranato che si crede astuto cerca di battere in astuzia un altro che invece è astuto davvero, finisce male in modo platealmente ovvio: tutti ridono.
Il personaggio non è umano.
L'incidente d'auto sembra terribile ma sul video c'è una scritta rassicurante: nessuno si è fatto male...
È tutto finto, sono attori, sono disegni, è immaginario, se la sono cercata, comunque non sono te,
perché ridendo tu vieni educato ad evitare di trovarti in quelle situazioni, a restare al sicuro nel mezzo della figura romboidale, protetto dalla tua normalità, definita dalla tua somiglianza alla massa.
Poi il cucciolo viene educato a non ridere della realtà. Bullizzare l'immaginario cartone animato con gli occhiali va bene ma ridere del compagno di classe con gli occhiali è proibito.
Questo viene chiamato distinguere realtà e finzione, fa parte del diventare adulti.
A me invece sembra la ricetta per creare una società di schizzopatici.
Poi ci sarebbe tutto un discorso da fare sul concetto di "proibito" ma lo faccio un'altra volta.
Qui mi interessa spiegare che, secondo me, è davvero molto importante avere le idee chiare sul reale potere della risata: no, non è mai solo una cosa per ridere.
Scegliere di cosa con chi e come si ride ed educare i cuccioli d'essere umano a questo in modo coerente è, credo, mettere le basi per un possibile grande cambiamento sociale. Magari in meglio. Credo.

non so se hai fatto caso che i comici internazionali hanno incominciato ad essere introspettivi: parlano e ridono di se, delle proprie disavventure, dei propri tic, di come li superano e dell'oppressione o le incoerenze della società.
C'è stato un enorme cambio di fuoco dal deridere altri a riflettere su sé e su come il gruppo reagisce alla propria personalità artistica.
La commedia italiana fatica a fare questo cambio. L'ho visto solo con le donne e persone queer o persone a loro affini.

Posso dire di sicuro che se c'è un cambiamento in atto non ha raggiunto ancora la maggior parte della gente "comune" con cui ho a che fare.
O forse l'ha raggiunta ma si ribellano, non capiscono e rifiutano? Magari forse è anche per questo che tendono a votare chi gli promette di far tornare tutto normale, anche a costo di perdere diritti guadagnati con tanta fatica?

How would you summarise your PhD thesis with a meme? Mine is below.
I looked at nearby galaxies in detail to reverse-engineer how they evolved. Cosmic dust gets in the way though, blocking starlight, which is annoying. But dust itself is also super interesting and contains vital clues to understand how galaxies are assembled. So at the end about half of my thesis ended up being about dust, which wasn't planned at all!

Irgendwann hatte man mal ein funktionierendes Rollband zwischen Bahnhofshalle und U-Bahnstation nördlich des Bahnhofs. Jetzt hat man nur noch das Schild. Der Rest ist gesperrt… 🤭

Über dem Bahnsteig hängt ein Schild mit der Aufschrift "TROTUAR RULANT," was auf Französisch für "rollender Bürgersteig" bedeutet. Im Hintergrund ist ein großes Gebäude zu sehen, das möglicherweise ein Bahnhofsgebäude ist. Der Bahnhof hat eine Metallkonstruktion mit einem Dach, das den Bahnsteig schützt. Die Bahngleise sind mit Stromleitungen ausgestattet, die für elektrische Züge verwendet werden. Der Bahnsteig ist leer, mit Ausnahme eines einzelnen Vögelns auf dem Boden.

本田真的是起了个大早赶了个晚集的典型。
混动刚出现的时候，本田的 insight 是和丰田的普锐斯同时起步的，一度旗鼓相当。后来本田就自己掉队了，不再跟进研发，现在丰田独霸混动市场，北美市场 40% 的丰田新车销售都是混动了，本田被甩在后面，尾灯都看不见了。
越野刚兴起的时候，本田也有带大梁的 passport，虽然是跟五十铃合作贴牌的，但是能跟丰田竞争一下。这个车就是当年国内庆铃的五十铃陆地龙、竞技者。如果当年本田继续合作甚至入股五十铃，完全可以把产品线发展下来，结果是本田又自己掉队了。现在越野市场这么火热，本田却拿不出一款真的能越野的车，只能做一些本质是改款奥德赛的样子货。
还有第一代 NSX 那么响的牌子，东瀛法拉利，结果第二代又自己做掉队了，感觉还没有通用的克尔维特有牌面儿……
