Beim Workshop vor 2 Wochen hab ich so an die 30 neue Menschen getroffen. Und wenn ich in Gesprächen erwähnt hab, dass ich eine Kolumne über seltene aber skurrile Todesursachen schreibe, waren die Reaktionen sehr ähnlich: Funkelnde Augen, Neugier und die Frage, wo diese faszinierenden Geschichten denn erscheinen. Daraus nehme ich mit, dass #UnwahrscheinlichTödlich noch nicht annähernd bekannt genug ist - viele prinzipiell interessierte Leute da draußen haben offensichtlich noch nie davon gehört!
Daraus ergibt sich für mich natürlich die Frage: Wie erreiche ich diese Menschen besser? Wo kann/muss/soll ich die Werbetrommel rühren und was kann ich sonst tun, um die Texte zu denen zu bringen, die sie noch nicht kennen aber mit Freude lesen würden?
Wie wahrscheinlich die meisten Menschen mach ich nicht *gern* Selbstpromo - es ist eher unangenehm, immer wieder zu versuchen, das Spotlight an sich zu reißen. Aber was ich natürlich trotzdem will, ist, dass die Texte ihr Publikum finden. Ich will Leute zum Nachdenken bringen, ihnen weird facts an die Hand geben und sie auch manchmal zum Schmunzeln bringen.
Und um das zu erreichen, muss ich halt auch immer wieder selbst für #UnwahrscheinlichTödlich werben. Aber ihr könnt mich unterstützen: wenn ihr mögt und ihr eventuell derart geneigte Menschen im Umfeld habt, help me spread the word! As a Jew (and a human being who cares about humanity, including Jews), I am simply not interested in any political theory, movement, or tendency that doesn't include a credible theory of antisemitism, and a serious praxis around it.
This includes Zionism, whose theories of antisemitism range from self-serving projection to magical, essentialist trash, and whose praxis ranges from bad-faith weaponization to compulsive violence; and it also includes antizionism, whose theory ranges from self-serving projection to outright denial, and whose praxis ranges from bad-faith projection to compulsive glorification of violence.
To the right, we are mascots or useful tools (or targets, for the honest ones), and on the left we are in a peculiar situation where we are required to be on the side of everyone else, no matter what, to be considered for a tentative membership in humanity, but no one (including us) may be on our side, because some of us have been known to do bad things.
It's an absolutely intolerable situation which, Divine guarantees aside, directly threatens our survival, since if we can't have reciprocal allies on the left we don't have anyone, and a small nation cannot survive in this world without allies.
This is why I've pretty much abandoned politics, aside from making angry and cynical statements such as this.

I find it a really useful exercise for the shinobue to "arpeggio" over every note of song in order, up and down. (I don't know if that's what an arpeggio is). on account of how the difficult part of the shinobue is how you have to blow in a different way for each note and register.
of course when the song jumps from a high to a low note you have to focus on that jump too, but it's generally much easier in the shino to move between adjacent notes (except when they jump registers), and doing it the easy way builds muscle memory (I hope) of what it feels like to blow the low notes successfuly for when you have to jump to them.

Yes, this is anything but unexpected. This is a very logical thing to do, under Russian diplomatic framework, which had not changed since 1950’s[^2] Western observers persistently apply the wrong framework, so they get the wrong result, so they are constantly surprised.
Western framework is transactional - we make step back, you make step back and we got a compromise.
Russian framework is precisely the opposite: “if they make step back, they are weak. If they are weak, you make step forward… because they made step back”. Is there anything more logical than that?
Trump is consistently demonstrating that he’s much more concerned about the future and stability of Russia than Putin himself, so of course Putin escalates demand. It would be illogical not to.
