From the mundane to the numinous.
From the simple to the sublime.

Embellishing brings attention to the mundane, collapsing the ordinary to reveal something deeper than the sum of the parts.

Het was een goede demonstratie vandaag. Mooie opkomst een paar honderd van ons tegenover 30-40 van hun. Een gemengde massa van verschillende groepen. We hadden weer het spandoek; nazi´s lives don´t matter geleend. Verschillende leuzen ingezet, die ook wel opgepikt werden door onze mede demonstranten. Meerdere variaten van het liedje ´´ik heb een tante uit marokko´´ voorbij horen komen waarbij meerdere mensen mee klapten. Vooral Utreg Antifa deed het erg goed waarbij meerdere mensen de U maakten.
Iets wat ons opviel dat er een media team van Turning Point NL aanwezig was. De nederlandse tak van Turning point usa. De organisatie van charlie kirk. Dit is iets om voor op te letten. De nederlandse tak is nieuw en die zou eigenlijk kop in gedrukt moeten worden.
Bender wou nog iets aan ons vragen, maar we beantwoorde met de sirene van onze megafoon. Hij wilde ons iets aanbieden maar wat weten we niet. We hadden uberhaubt geen interesse.
Twee defend gastjes probeerden nog een spandoek te jatten. En dit is iets een volgende keer om mee rekening mee te houden. Misschien om onszelf (als in antifascisten/anarchisten) iets meer te verspreiden om dit soort zaken in de gaten te houden.

in reply to mcc • • •I just finished my first Adrian Tchaikovsky book, "Children of Time". Fascinating story, even if there was a bit too much scientific handwavium. I loved his guesswork about how societies might evolve, even if he completely wiped out England.
Iain Banks doesn't seem to be much kinder - though his non-Culture books aren't kinder.
