Rubio in Ecuador annuncia aiuti a governo Noboa contro i narcos - America Latina - Ansa.it
(ANSA)Agenzia ANSA

And even if the 11 crew members were supposed “narco terrorists,” such a designation does not serve as any legal basis for a combat strike.

"Confronting Israeli settler accused of killing unarmed Palestinian activist" [7:49 min]
by Channel4News
youtube.com/watch?v=Q5C7mFExBV…
Quote by C4N;
"Aug 29, 2025
It's been a month since the brutal killing of Palestinian activist Awdah Hathaleen, who was shot and killed by an extremist Israeli settler as he filmed a confrontation with unarmed Palestinians in the West Bank.
But already, settlers are back encroaching even closer to the Palestinian village of Umm al-Khair - openly setting up four mobile homes within metres of it.
The man who shot Awdah, internationally sanctioned settler Yinon Levi, still hasn't been charged. Further evidence, say many, of the two-tier justice Israel operates - putting its people first and Palestinians second in the West Bank."

Given that Trump is going to get away with breaking international law, and the military is happily following obviously illegal orders to blow up a ship that they would normally stop. I wonder if that's them testing the waters for using remote lethal force against domestic abortion-drug suppliers.
Obviously, it sounds like an insane idea. But everything happening now sounded like an insane idea just a year ago.

It's great dockworkers in Genoa are threatening to shut down Europe if Israel messes with the flotilla.
At the same time, it also raises the question of if you can shut down Europe, why haven't you done it yet? Is nearly two years of genocide not enough? Why do Europeans need to be involved to be moved to act?
Finally, since Israel will most definitely intercept the flotilla, they better be planning now on how to make good on their promise.

Yeah, I've also been thinking about that. Like why wait until now? Meanwhile, having been involved in American unions (not sure how different European ones would be), I know that strikes take a long time to organize because striking can impose a very steep cost to workers. It takes a lot of one-on-one conversations to build the social networks and collective power. And many people have radicalized in the past two years and radicalization takes some time. I'm really appalled how many of my colleagues don't seem to have radicalized very much. I myself shed quite a lot of liberal indoctrination since Oct 7 despite having identified as an anarchist since 2020.
Yeah, they'd better get ready to strike. Even if they fail this time, next time they may be able to call a strike faster. For example, UC grad student workers passed the strike authorization vote for Palestine in spring 2024 so quickly because the memory of the 2022 strike was still fresh, though a court ruled that the strike for Palestine is illegal and I heard reports of union leadership watering down the demands.
