Maribel Vilaplana, la periodista que comió con el president de la Generalitat valenciana, Carlos Mazón, el 29 de octubre, el día de la dana en el que murieron 228 personas en la provincia de Valencia, ha afirmado que "estar allí aquel día fue una maldita coincidencia y un horrible golpe de mala suerte".
En una carta abierta y remitida a los medios de comunicación, la periodista lamenta haber sufrido estos diez meses una "presión insoportable", pues se ha convertido "en una diana utilizada políticamente y alimentada con insinuaciones machistas", que le llevó a un ingreso hospitalario y actualmente está en tratamiento psicológico por estrés postraumático.
Vilaplana afirma que durante la comida con Mazón no preguntó, ni participó ni conoció en ningún momento el contenido de las llamadas que recibió el president, quien tampoco le trasladó "ninguna inquietud al respecto", y asegura que salió del restaurante entre las 18:30 y las 18:45 horas.

Make one #origami model every day. It's a bit more relaxed than the other projects. I'll have something going on in real life that forces me to take it a bit easier this month.
