My favorite thing about attempting to immigrate is discovering just how much noncooperation there is between anything. The simplest way to immigrate seems to be to die in your current country and be born in the target country.
I think the nearest equivalent actually achievable is to quit all the jobs you have, end tenancies and insurance in your home-country, and the very next day somehow acquire a job housing insurance and all of that stuff at the new country.

How good is AI.
IKEA order arrived with a damaged box. The return AI booked a replacement drop off and pickup scheduled for Friday. All good zero touch customer rep experience. Status updates telling us it’s on the way etc.
Except it never arrived.
Called IKEA this morning took 45m of waiting and dealing with humans to discover. The AI had hallucinated the whole thing. The schedule was too tight For the warehouse to load the goods. So the AI just faked the rest of the delivery updates.
Cust rep couldn’t fix it so just created two new deliveries, one for the replacement and one for the damaged part pickup.
So much time wasted and inconvenience to our family.

@AlienAnomaly The bot is tuned to generate a helpful answer, and I expect this is where its statistical weights took it. Whatever connection this has to reality is coincidental.
It's a horrible way to treat customers though.

Ich hätte mir einen zusätzlichen Absatz zu den Unterrichtsthemen gewünscht, die in Gaza fest zum Schulalltag gehören: Fanatischer Antisemitismus, Verherrlichung von „Märtyrern“ (a.k.a. Terroristen) und Gewalt.
Stattdessen lese ich unkommentierte Sätze wie „Die israelischen Besatzer wollen, dass wir dumm bleiben und nichts lernen“. Und das soll ausgewogener Qualitätsjournalismus sein?
