Lying awake in bed, thinking about how amazing it is that #Doom, the first video-game that really blew me away and got me into computers, required a whopping 4 Megabytes of #RAM, and now, my CPU has 32 MB of RAM soldered durectly to it.
Not only could it run Doom in that, if i managed to somehow get the CPU to run just that, I could run something like GLBoom without ever needing actual RAM or a Graphics Card, because the CPU has a GL-capable GPU built in. ( I use it for KDE-Plasma. :3 )
Edit:
Not just that, it could easily fit in the L2 cache of a single core. That's how big these things are getting, a single core has more RAM than an entire system did 30 years ago.

New interdisciplinary research finds records of supernovas SN1181 and SN1006 in Arabic poems.
A poem in praise of Saladin by Ibn Sanā' al-Mulk, composed between December 1181 and May 1182, discusses a new star in the henna-dyed hand (Cassiopeia). This is likely supernova SN1181, previously only known from records from China and Japan.
SN 1006, was recorded in many locations around the world, including in Arabic, European, Chinese, and Japanese sources. The paper finds a new record of the supernova in an Arabic text by the historian al-Maqrīzī.
