Österreich-Ungarn z.b. war ein Staat, bestand aber aus mehreren Nationalitäten (Deutschen, Ungarn, Serben, …). Das deutsche Reich im Gegensatz dazu war ein Staat mit fast nur einer Nation (die der Deutschen), weswegen es den *Nazi*s überhaupt möglich war einen *Nati*onalstaat anzustreben (und natürlich ist Genozid der einzige Weg von einem fast Nationalstaat zu einem reinen Nationalstaat).
