Il momento migliore per osservare questa fase è un'ora o due prima dell'alba ed è molto bella da vedere se sei disposto ad alzarti presto, io non ho resistito e stamattina l'ho fotografata. Si notano alcune caratteristiche della superficie lunare. Lungo il bordo, dove la parte illuminata incontra il lato scuro, si notano i crateri e le montagne! La Luna ha 25.44 giorni; questi sono i giorni dall’ultima Luna nuova. La Luna impiega 29,53 giorni per orbitare attorno alla Terra e completare il ciclo di tutte le 8 fasi lunari. ( Nozioni prese da uno dei tanti libri per ragazzi di mio figlio, quando si appassionava all' astronomia!)
