Recuerden que la Habana queda ahí con vistas al Golfo de ¿Mexico? y el aire que usualmente fluye es más seco que el de oriente.
Temperatura y humedad unidos es infernal. 37 grados se siente superior a 40 y 18 muy inferior.
En la Habana se siente frío si la temperatura es igual o inferior, digamos a 15. En Oriente ya que baje a 18 + el factor térmico se siente más.

Soy cubano. Eso de cuál temperatura se considera fría depende de la zona del país y de la gente. En el occidente (que allí está la capital) y el centro las temperaturas son más frescas que en la región oriental.
Un verano en Oriente las temperaturas más cálidas pueden superar los 37⁰ y las menos cálidas nunca bajan de 29. Ese mismo día en la Habana, por ejemplo las más calientes pueden estar en 34.

Hay otras zonas donde les va aún peor.
