Many people in Gaza have shared what they believed to be their final message yesterday, as Israel's siege intensified following the decision in parliament to take over the entire Gaza strip, as well as demonstrations surrounding May 15th occurring, the Nakba remembrance day.
Current numbers say that 143 people were killed by Israeli airstrikes in yesterday's attacks alone, with dozens still missing under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
The Nakba, an ethnic cleansing that launched 1947 by predecessors of the IDF, “only” violently displaced 750.000 people.
The currently ongoing Gaza genocide has already displaced over 1.900.000 people, and killed 53.000 people (lowest estimate), whilst the largest offensive has yet to start.
I wonder how many Palestinians will be murdered for daring to remember the current genocide.

The Israeli occupation authorities banned Muslim Palestinian worshippers from performing the fajr – dawn – prayer at the Ibrahimi Mosque in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron this morning, the Palestinian Information Centre reported.

il 26 maggio nel pomeriggio si voterà alla Camera la conversione in legge del decreto con cui a fine marzo il Governo ha approvato con un colpo di mano la normativa repressiva prevista nell'ex ddl 1660.
Un disegno di legge con cui si va a chiudere il cerchio: da un lato la guerra esterna, la riconversione bellica dell’economia e il massacro sociale che ne deriva come unica prospettiva che le classi dirigenti europee hanno in serbo per noi, dall’altro la guerra interna per mettere a tacere qualsiasi dissenso e opposizione, secondo una logica repressiva di sapore fascista che va a restringere ancora di più gli spazi di agibilità democratica con l’utilizzo indiscriminato del codice penale, l’inasprimento delle pene e l’introduzione di nuove fattispecie di reato.
È evidente che le prove generali per questa ulteriore torsione autoritaria le stanno già mettendo in campo, con la sempre maggiore durezza e frequenza con cui le forze dell’ordine intervengono contro manifestazioni e proteste.
La sicurezza di cui abbiamo bisogno non è quella dei manganelli e della repressione poliziesca ma quella sociale, a partire dalla garanzia del diritto alla casa e di un lavoro dignitoso e ben pagato fino alla messa in sicurezza dei nostri territori che si sgretolano a causa della crisi climatica e della mancanza di una politica ambientale seria che non si fermi al puro greenwashing.
Nel giorno della votazione in aula mobilitiamoci anche sotto la prefettura di Milano: facciamo appello alla partecipazione a tutte le forze politiche, sociali e a singoli cittadini contrari a questa deriva autoritaria, la conversione in legge del decreto sicurezza va fermata!

in reply to Mirishuli • • •@MiriShuli I believe there are many answers to your question, but I sadly also believe that an escalation like you're proposing doesn't help. The countries surrounding Israel, as much as they're innocent in the Gaza genocide, would probably not have the best intentions for the civilians of Israel. Even if they were to have a militaristic victory in the region, if it got any further than achieving a ceasefire or an end to Israel's settler colonialism, it wouldn't end civilian casualties, it would simply change the side they're on.
Many surrounding states are accepting migrants from Gaza, but if there isn't a literal wall, there's a military preventing refugees from fleeing. The surrounding countries constantly try to give the people of Gaza aid, not because they don't want them in their own country, but because taking them would set a horrible precedent. If there was only one country saying they'd fully take all refugees, the blame would switch sides. Just like with the Western Sahara and Algeria, you'd then have the entirety of one country living in a refugee camp. The Israeli government could much more easily and shamefully ask “why aren't they just leaving?” the ethnic cleansing would have found its supporting counterpart.
Why aren't other countries intervening? Well, Israel has the largest empire in human history supporting it. Attacks like these have failed in the past, the US has tried or done regime changes in all these countries. No reason to mess with that.

They are not accepting refugees. The people of
Gaza are having to buy their way out, with the Go Fund Me accounts asking for 20-100k as proof. Supposedly there is a “verification” service to convince people they are actually giving to people, not Hamas.

What is happening now is not like before. the bombing is more ferocious. This is a phase unlike any before it, even though everything we have experienced before was repeated death.
