FBI Director Kash Patel announced in a Fox News broadcast Friday that he’s redeploying 1,500 FBI agents, analysts and other personnel from Washington to posts throughout the country, and shutting down the bureau’s storied headquarters because it is “unsafe for our workforce.”
Patel has talked frequently about moving FBI personnel out of the nation’s capital and even shutting down the J. Edgar Hoover FBI Building and making it into some form of a “deep state” museum.
But his comments to Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo appear to be the most definitive to date in terms of his plans for the FBI and the building named after the bureau's longest-serving director.

Au point de publier ce 16 mai un communiqué au ton particulièrement acide.Selon les services du procureur, les opérations qui ont visé le parlementaire ne concernent aucunement le signalement qu’il a adressé à la justice le 5 septembre dernier, concernant Laser Propreté, la société de nettoyage en charge de la propreté du réseau de métro et de la gare Saint Charles, soupçonné d’avoir organisé frauduleusement sa faillite. « Ces faits ont fait l’objet d’une ouverture d’enquête préliminaire le 16 septembre 2024 confiée à la brigade de la criminalité financière », révèle d’ailleurs le ministère public.

Au départ de la délégation, le plaignant s’apercevait qu’une pochette avait été dérobée dans son bureau qui contenait des documents ayant trait à sa vie privée.» Deuxième étape. « Le 24 septembre 2024, Sébastien DELOGU diffusait sur son compte INSTAGRAM, fort de 95 000 abonnés, une grande partie des documents dérobés à Isidore ARAGONES, en évoquant ses liens avec l’Etat d’Israël , ainsi que ses projets financiers personnels, et en précisant que des gens bienveillants les leur avaient transmis.» Troisième temps. « La perquisition, qui s’est déroulée le 15 mai 2025 sans incident, au domicile et dans les locaux de la permanence électorale de Sébastien DELOGU, a eu pour objectif de rechercher les documents volés à la victime et de permettre d’identifier les personnes qui ont commis ce vol.» Et conclusion cinglante. «Contrairement à la communication erronée relayée dans la presse et sur les réseaux sociaux notamment par Sébastien DELOGU, ces perquisitions sont donc sans aucun lien avec l’article 40 dont ce dernier a saisi, en son seul nom, le procureur de la République de Marseille.»
