One of the most underrated songwriters of his (or anybody else’s) generation.
Zevon’s real life was as wild and insane as those of the characters in his songs. Over that life, he offered up an incredible run of albums, of which this is one of his very best.
“Hasten Down The Wind”, “The French Inhaler”, “Mohammed’s Radio”, and the stunning “Desperados Under The Eaves”; all remarkable songs.
On a related note, if you haven’t seen it, go on YouTube and search out the David Lettermsn show where Zevon was his only guest.
Warren was dying, and Dave gave him a wonderful send off. It’s an incredibly moving tribute to the man. Zevon is funny even while starting death in the face, and his live performances are essential viewing.
Just an all time legend, who enriched our lives along the way with incredible art.

Il existe une voie pour un numérique émancipatif. Cette voie ne passe pas par le fait d'interdire l'accès au numérique aux jeunes alors que les adultes continuent de se vautrer sous leurs yeux dans des usages toxiques (à commencer par les responsables politiques, incapables de quitter X, mais si prompts à plébisciter des mesures liberticides pour les autres).
Ne nous trompons pas d'adversaire. L'adversaire ce sont bien les Big Tech et leur modèle de captation de l'attention.
