@fdr è anche peggio di così: circa il 60% dei morti sul lavoro avviene in una collisione stradale (inclusi quelli in itinere, di cui parli). Gli incidenti in cantiere fanno notizia, ma la maggior parte è sulla strada.
Quindi non solo è anche una questione di sicurezza sul lavoro, come dici, ma addirittura il fenomeno su cui agire per diminuire drasticamente il numero di morti e feriti sul lavoro è proprio la sicurezza stradale.

The #Fediverse is set up to "splinter" and flow content, so if people are at all wise they will open up more instances - this might work to mediate the mess you point out?
also learn from each other re best moderation policies. also over time I think we'll get more comfortable with this kind of interaction.
currently we think of communities/group social networking and old school twitter social media as the same thing. imo they very much are not. the former is about the members while the latter is about public attention and displacing the power of mass media and money's power over culture.
will be difficult to balance but needed.
As you well know through bitter experience any instance either flies or fails through resourcing, whether from it's users (according to from each / to each) or some fantasy subsidies/philanthropy. Then it publishes it's policies and gets moderated (by the effort of volunteers?) well or badly from there. How it deals with societal contention, or censors dissent is the unknowable. Hyperlocal so easily degenerates into factional and flame wars. No positive suggestions from this end, but it's not a #GeekProblem!
