Quite apart from any other issues I might have with AI, its pretty clear that the AI revolution is going to lead to a massive upswing in power usage, and as such will be a major problem for climate change, unless by some miracle all the upswing is supplied by renewables.... and even then, if demand from data centres ramps up quicker than supply it will be driving more expensive energy for the rest of us!
