Bauhaus waren immer eine exzellente Live-Band, was vor allem mit der Bühnenpräsenz von Sänger Peter Murphy und Gitarrist Daniel Ash zusammenhängt. Die Brüder David J (Bass) und Kevin Haskins (Drums) waren eher zurückhaltend, was beim Drummer nicht verwundert. Ihr erstes Live-Album war Press The Eject And Give Me The Tape. Wer die LP-Version bis zum Ende hört, vernimmt nach dem letzten Song „Dark Entries“ diese Worte, die ein Ordner zu einem Besucher sagt, der das Konzert selbst aufgenommen hatte und so um das Ergebnis seines heimlichen Tuns gebracht wurde.
Das Album wurde aus drei Konzerten zusammengestellt: Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool (31.10.1981), Hammersmith Palais, London (09.11.1981) und The Old Vic, London (24.02.1982). Auch wenn es also eine Art musikalische Collage ist, zeigt „Press The Eject And Give Me The Tape“ sehr gut die Energie, die Bauhaus auf die Bühnen gebracht hat. Es wurde ursprünglich als Bonus-Album als limitierte Auflage mit dem dritten Studio-Album „The Sky’s Gone Out“ im Oktober 1982 veröffentlicht, am 10.12.1982 dann als eigenständiges Album.
1988 wurde die CD-Ausgabe herausgebracht, die zusätzlich fünf Live-Aufnahme vom Konzert im Le Rose Bonbon, Paris (03.12.1981) enthält, sowie eine Aufnahme aus dem Fagins, Manchester (28.10.1981). Bei Letzterer handelt es sich um eine Cover-Version des Klassikers „I’m Waiting For The Man“ von The Velvet Underground, bei der Nico als Gastsängerin auftrat. Alle Bonus-Tracks der CD bis auf „Of Lillies And Remains“ wurden bereits vorher auf Single-B-Seiten veröffentlicht, „Double Dare“ und „Hair Of The Dog“ wurden als Bonus-Single „Satori In Paris“ einer limitierten Erstauflage von „Press The Eject And Give Me The Tape“ beigelegt.
Die Aufnahmen aus The Old Vic in London wurden auch auf den Video-Kassetten „Shadow Of Light“ und „Archive“ verwendet.
Das Cover-Foto von Peter Murphy, der sich ein Schlagzeugbecken vor das Gesicht hält, wurde am 27.02.1981 von Eugene Merinov bei einem Konzert im Hurrah-Club in New York aufgenommen.

in reply to tagesschau • • •Ähnlich zu #Kroatien mit der #Euroeinführung , da kam es auch zur Teuerung. Es könnte jedoch auch so gesehen werden, dass sich die Lebensstandards durch den Euro nach und nach angleichen.
Zudem sollte gesehen werden, wie stark die makroökonomischen Veränderungen der jeweiligen Volkswirtschaften nach der Euroeinführung waren.
Anleihen werden von Rumänien schon in Euro notiert ausgegeben, denn niemand würde Staatsanleihen in einer kleinen nationalen Währung kaufen (#Währungsrisiko). Für den Kapitalmarkt wäre der Schritt zur gleichen Währung daher attraktiver.
