Remembering that time in America when it was illegal to teach kids anything that deviated from the Biblical fairy tale of creation - and when teachers who dared to tell kids about evolution were brought to courts.
And to be honest, in many parts of America this deep bigot sentiment still runs deep, 100 years later.
We’re often told in school that America was a nation built on the values of Enlightenment. That the American revolution was spurred by the ideas of folks like Benjamin Franklin, who built on top or the political doctrine of Rousseau and Montesquieu, on a strong belief in science, freedom and liberalism.
The truth is that there’s always been another America that couldn’t be more antithetical to those values.
The America of the rural religious fanatics who migrated to the New World from Germany, England and the Netherlands because their ideas made them mavericks even in their own countries at the time.
The America of those who believed in the imminent end or the days, of those who fought science and the values of Enlightenment because they denied their beliefs, those who still in the 17th and 18th century would hunt witches, and who believed that it was their God-given right to enslave “inferior” human beings.
A synthesis between these two completely opposite visions of America was never found. Even after the Civil War the defeated southerners didn’t acknowledge their loss - they just retreated to their rural havens and built up more and more grudge towards the perceived “urban elites” that stole their vision of a theocratic promised land founded on dogma and exploitation.
America will always be a very sick country that will keep destabilizing the rest of the world until it solves this structural contradiction.

Meanwhile, Kyiv police had already detained two men in such outfit, both of which were foreigners, who were charged with Article 436-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (manufacturing, distribution, and propaganda of nazism or communism). Which likely marks another wave of provocations paid by Moscow, who struggles to find any actual evidence for the need of “denazification of Ukraine”, so it has to invent it on its own.
By the way, this weird flag of Ukraine with swastika was never used by any actual nationalist organisations in Ukraine and never seen by any actual journalists.
The only place it was ever seen was a rather mysterious group photo of masked men distributed around 2015 by Russian portals (!), and nobody knew where it was made and by whom.
That’s only if you’re using the Russian “nazi problem” definition which is essentially “any country that doesn’t want to submit to Putin”. That’s “nazi” according to Russians.
For the mainstream definition of #Nazism that is racist & xenophobic national socialism, Ukraine doesn’t have any bigger problem with it than any other European country, and it has legislation very similar in this aspect to most of them - promotion and display of totalitarian symbolic, including Nazi and communist, is banned.
Ukraine certainly has lesser problem than the US, where Nazism is protected free speech, as beautifully portrayed in “Blues Brothers” (1980):

And Ukraine certainly also has much lesser problem with Nazism than Russia, whose state ideology is today compatible with the literal German Nazism from 1930’s, including morbid cult of violence, racial superiority and genocidal postulates. Letzteres würde ja langfristig sinnvolle Impulse setzen. Deutschland hat dafür "den TÜV", genauer gesagt HU und Abgasuntersuchung. Leider werden offensichtlich defekte Dreckschleudern nicht konsequent stillgelegt! Vom geduldeten #Abgasbetrug in Neufahrzeugen a.k.a. "Thermofenster" fange ich hat nicht erst an.
Die Regierung von Neu-Delhi hat ja bereits viel in Technik investiert und sollte deshalb mal über Einfahrverbote oder die sogenannte "City-Maut" sprechen.
