I'm not sure how much work it would be fully but might get a Raspberry Pi or something to test the theory out but I think I could create a Mastodon Instance that can be 'portable' / be sold to people to self-host in there own home.
I want to make it easy for people to self-host, especially for those who know nothing about coding and don't have time / want to learn. The goal would be to have a 100% functional instance that would be plug-n-go no worries about typing in commands, illegal instances / users ext.
I want to be able to easily give the update code to users when it comes to update time, I think the only thing they'll have to worry about if they don't manage there own DNS is paying for the domain, but other than that it should be 100% free from my hands if they wish to run it on there own.
Who knows if I can do it but I'm thinking about testing this as I really want to help bring people to the Fediverse, and why not help people run there own servers.

How do you clean a MAME romset on Linux?
On Windows, I used to load the whole set of splits on Launchbox, filter out clones, mahjongs and that kind of thing, then export the thousands of remaining ROMs that are essential to life itself (If you don't need sprites like these, I don't understand you)
But I'm not seeing anything like that on Linux. Please point me in the general direction of the answer 🙏

WaPo has a good story about how an impostor pretending to be Secretary of State Marco Rubio contacted foreign ministers, a U.S. governor and a member of Congress by sending them voice and text messages that mimic Rubio’s voice and writing style using artificial intelligence-powered software.
From the story:
"Using both text messaging and the encrypted messaging app Signal, which the Trump administration uses extensively, the impostor “contacted at least five non-Department individuals, including three foreign ministers, a U.S. governor, and a U.S. member of Congress,” said the cable, dated July 3."
"The impersonation campaign began in mid-June when the impostor created a Signal account using the display name “Marco.Rubio@state.gov” to contact unsuspecting foreign and domestic diplomats and politicians, said the cable. The display name is not his real email address."
“The actor left voicemails on Signal for at least two targeted individuals and in one instance, sent a text message inviting the individual to communicate on Signal,” said the cable. It also noted that other State Department personnel were impersonated using email."
