Yet thanks to dogged work by campaigners, independent journalists and pro-Palestine MPs, we know both that the flights are continuing to operate (as they did even throughout the ceasefire) and that spikes in the number of flights have coincided with especially deadly Israeli attacks on Gaza.
The lack of curiosity on the part of mainstream media is perhaps not surprising but it is deeply troubling."

Vermutlich wissen die User gar nicht, dass es Alternativen zu Mastodon gibt und dass Mastodon nicht das Fediverse ist...und das Fediverse nicht Mastodon... oder irgendwie so. 😅
Und woran das liegen könnte, haben wir ja auch schon oft genug feststellen können. 😉

Es gibt auch irgendwo eine statistik, die für alle server das zeichenlimit ausweist, so dass es möglich ist, eine wunschinstanz mit wunschlimit auszusuchen.
Und natürlich gibt es leute, die auf 500 zeichen bestehen und threads schreiben (zB Cory Doctorow auf mamot.fr).

Die gehen auch schon mal knallhart dagegen vor, daß andere über 500 Zeichen posten, z. B. durch sofortige Blocks. Die werden selbst einen Teufel tun und irgendwohin umziehen, was mehr als 500 Zeichen zuläßt. Geschweige denn irgendwohin, was nicht Mastodon ist.
Dann gibt's wieder die, die aus ganz anderen Gründen nicht von Mastodon weg wollen (alles andere ist böse, und/oder sie wollen sich nicht umgewöhnen, und/oder sie wissen nicht und können sich auch nicht vorstellen, daß die Nicht-Mastodon-Sachen im Fediverse mit Mastodon verbunden sind, weil Twitter und Facebook ja auch nicht verbunden sind, usw.). Und die iPhone-Nutzer, die nirgendwohin wollen, wofür sie keine dedizierte iPhone-App kennen. Und die, die partout überhaupt nicht umziehen wollen und statt dessen wollen, daß die Instanz, wo sie eh schon sind, genau so eingerichtet wird, wie sie es wollen. Selbst wenn sie auf mastodon.social sind.
Was die gemeinsam haben, ist der unerschütterliche Glaube daran, daß Eugen Rochko entweder 2016 oder erst 2022 (weil davor noch niemand je davon gehört hatte) das Fediverse erfunden hat und alles, was nicht Mastodon ist, hinterher nachträglich an Mastodon drangeklebt worden ist (oder wie z. B. Friendica oder Hubzilla hinterhältigerweise ins Mastodon-Fediverse eingedrungen ist).

In dem Fall muss man erneut die Frage stellen, ob wirklich META umarmt und einverleibt oder ob auch andere Projekte im Fediverse mit Marktmacht nicht umgehen können? Ich sage nur "Don't be Evil".
