The Trifid #Nebula (M20), 5,000 light-years away in Sagittarius, showcases emission, reflection, and dark nebulae. Its name comes from dust lanes dividing the red emission area. Famous for its star-forming pillars and jets, it spans 40 light-years but appears moon-sized through telescopes.
