uh, that's terrible. Classic interaction mistake. Consider: what is the thing users want to do 90% of the time (indeed, I've never had a desire to view the posts of a particular user and hashtag).
A bit like how #Sharkey (and probably #Misskey?) wants to confirm every time I search for a hashtag, as if I was doing something very dramatic. ("Are you sure you want to open this hashtags page?").
I mean, what the hell else would I want to do upon hitting return in a search field?
@Setok I tried to search Mastodon's GitHub for any discussion or issue related to this but only found a PR that implemented it with no description of why this was done.
Maybe someone somewhere has a use case for this but to me, it's unnecessarily slowing down the use.
I discovered that clicking it with intention to open to new tab (mouse middle button, cmd+click, etc) does indeed still work so I guess I'll be doing that from now on.

Alpher acknowledges this is actually a concentration camp - a fenced compound of tents where the only way out would be through emigration from Gaza entirely - a moral horror that facilitates forced displacement and ethnic cleansing, noting the tragic irony that Israelis who were educated about #Holocaust now support creating concentration camps for another people under Israeli military control.

What’s really disgusting here is the fact that Israeli media now refers to the proposed Rafah concentration camp as a “city of refuge”, a facility being built to shelter and provide food to Palestinians whom they intend to isolate from Hamas. Interestingly, the same people who up until recently claimed that “there are no uninvolved” in Gaza...
Gaza has been a concentration camp with severely limited food supply for the past two decades, since Israel withdrew and imposed a relentless blockade. The blockade has created a cycle of poverty and dependence on the underground tunnel economy, which Israel then used against the Palestinians after October.

Lo único que disfruto de conmemorar es la noche que nevó en mi ciudad, el 9 de julio de 2007. Un fotógrafo del observatorio local salió de madrugada con su cámara a hacer exposiciones largas y luego por la mañana volvió: ya se despejaba el cielo y el Sol corregía la abominación helada que cubría árboles y edificios sobre el Río de la Plata. No sin hacerla brillar locamente antes de desaparecerla.
