An IT guy by day, I moonlight as a pinball arcade owner here in #finland with my partner @quester. This is purely a hobby of mine, I do this to keep my sanity and to keep pinball alive for the next generations of players. At the moment I own a bit over 30 pinball machines from 70s to 2020s.

This is an absolute truth. I literally got to the end of the FIRST page of the UCP's survey to ban books from school libraries before I had to quit because I couldn't truthfully answer their multiple-choice question, which had me choose when "children should be allowed access to sexually-explicit material", which they had already determined to be queer perspectives which had nothing to do with sex, nevermind "explicit sexual content".
I noted in my long answer that we already have laws against access of pornography to minors, and if there was actual "explicit sexual content" it would already be illegal to place in a school library. But the long answer wouldn't be seen by anyone, only their loaded multiple-choice results.

Oh, i am so mad right now. I did the firmware upgrade, and I think it wiped the configuration of my router. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get back into my router after the upgrade, and when I checked my WiFi settings on my iPad, it had the wrong IP address from the DHCP server in the router. I'm rebooting it again to see what happens.
YEP. Wrong address again. That means the router config was completely wiped. Fortunately, it wasn't a very complex config, so it will only take a minute to fix, but I shouldn't have to. Thanks, tp-link.
Strangely, the WIFI SSID and passkey settings were retained, but the IP settings were reverted to the factory default.

The problem was that I had updated ruby. That caused local extensions to not be found. The solution was to do this:
gem pristine --all
and enjoy a cup of coffee. The errors stopped, everything was happy again, & I restarted the servers.
I'll pin this one on both servers for a while to spread the solution for "Source locally installed gems is ignoring [whatever] because it is missing extensions."
