One of the few remaining Big Tech founder-CEOs, Zuckerberg has relied on longtime acolytes such as chief product officer Chris Cox to head up his favoured departments and build out his upper ranks.
But in the battle to dominate AI, the billionaire is shifting towards a new and recently hired generation of executives including Zhao, former Scale AI CEO Alexandr Wang and former GitHub chief Nat Friedman.
Current staff are adapting to the reinvention of Meta’s AI efforts as the newcomers seek to flex their power while adjusting to the idiosyncrasies of working within a sprawling $1.95tn giant with a hands-on chief executive."

Not only is there the risk of hallucination but the chatbot’s desire to be agreeable means it may say an unusable idea works. That is a particular issue for those of us who don’t know how to edit the code. We risk creating software with inbuilt problems.
It may not save time either. A study published in July by the non-profit Model Evaluation and Threat Research assessed work done by 16 developers — some with AI tools, some without. Those using AI assumed it had made them faster. In fact it took them nearly a fifth longer.
Several developers I spoke to said AI was best used as a way to talk through coding problems. It’s a version of something they call rubber ducking (after their habit of talking to the toys on their desk) — only this rubber duck can talk back. As one put it, code shouldn’t be judged by volume but success in what you’re trying to achieve.
Progress in AI coding is tangible. But measuring productivity gains is not quite as neat as a simple percentage calculation."

Le génocide en cours à Gaza n’est pas seulement une tragédie humanitaire : pour Israël, il est aussi et surtout un outil de colonisation.
Depuis des décennies, l’État hébreu avance méthodiquement, colonie après colonie, expropriation après expropriation. Aujourd’hui, l’effacement de Gaza, la famine organisée, les bombardements qui tuent des centaines de milliers de civils ne sont pas un accident de l’histoire : ils s’inscrivent dans un projet, celui de s’emparer de cette terre.
Pendant ce temps-là, en Cisjordanie l’expansion des colonies continue. Le fameux plan E1 en est l’illustration la plus claire : relier les colonies autour de Jérusalem pour couper le territoire en deux et enterrer toute possibilité d’un État palestinien viable.
L’offensive à Gaza et l’expansion en Cisjordanie ne sont que deux faces d’une même logique : la disparition programmée de la Palestine.
Le tout, au mépris du droit international.
Pendant ce temps, une large partie de la société israélienne vit dans le déni, répétant le discours sécuritaire, refusant de voir l’inhumanité commise en leur nom. Ce déni collectif permet au plan de colonisation de se déployer sans révolte intérieure.
Et la France dans tout ça ? Emmanuel Macron a annoncé vouloir reconnaître l’État de Palestine. Mais comment croire à la sincérité de ce geste quand, dans le même temps, la France continue de vendre des armes à Israël, contribuant ainsi directement aux bombardements et aux massacres ? En agissant ainsi, Emmanuel Macron se place en contradiction flagrante avec le droit international, qu’il est censé défendre.
Alors peut-on encore empêcher la colonisation de la Palestine ? Netanyahu sera-t-il amené un jour à comparaitre devant la cour pénale internationale ? Et finalement, est-ce que le droit international sert encore à quelque chose ?
